Labradorite got its unique name from the coast of Labrador, Canada where the Inuit legend of the gemstone is told. It is said that beautiful energy was trapped within the gemstones until an Inuit Warrior freed it by using its spear. As a result, the energy that was freed created the lights of the Aurora Borealis. Today, the gems still hold the ancient connection between earth and sky, and is used to encourage exploration of the natural beauty within and around us.
